Frequently Asked Questions.

Here at Witches Moon we do try to give you the best possible experience shopping with us. For this reason we have created this page to help answer some of the questions you may have about your order.

 

Q. How Long does it take to get a book Created?

A. Well, as we state, it can take as much as 12 weeks to create - then ship your book. This time is set for ordering materials, shipping time & paper/leather delays and so on. But on a whole most orders ship out within 6 to 8 weeks. Please note, this time frame is in business days and does not count Saturday's or Sunday's. Shipping is done once a week to save on fuel. At times we are extremely busy and our books are in high demand, this is incredibly hard as it is two of us working so some times we can get further behind, and also we have delays of our own, sick days, vacations and so on. Our Books are custom made a time of ordering, which means they are made for you. We do not stock leathers and papers here with us. All items used are fresh from the artist so your book has the best possible energy. We are old school in the respect that it must be created ritually and made as it will be used. Our books are not mass produced and we do not have an assembly line. This does mean it will be a long wait for one of our products, but it will be crafted as a BOS should be.

Q. Is it possible my book can be further delayed than the 8 Weeks?

A. Yes,  At Witches Moon we do strive to do the best and offer the best possible products to you. This means finding the best crafters and suppliers cost to cost and across the continents to find the materials to bring your book into reality. With this however, sometimes some papers, leathers & marble papers can be backordered from our suppliers. This can in fact delay your order by days or even weeks. We do our best to inform all of our customers of such things. In the case of a delay in materials, we will notify you of the delay. We do our best to clear it up as quickly as possible. Marbled paper alone comes from France, Italy or Brazil and the makers of these papers can also be behind as they are hand crafted as well, if our supplier can not get them for a few weeks we can not control that. we will however do our best to get it from them in a timely fashion, this rarely happens but we simply want you to know that it can occur.

Q. What about a custom book?

A. All of our books are custom made. Meaning you pick the color for your book, that way you are not stock with some stock book  that you may or may not like. Each book gets the same amount of time & energy. In some cases a custom book order request may require a highly detailed cover or a special treatment or detail that may push the time frame beyond the 8 weeks. We take our creations very seriously, so we will not rush a customers' design. This way we can insure it is correct once you receive it.

Q. What if something goes wrong with my book?

A. Though we do strive for each book to be perfect, please keep in mind these are hand made, designed to look old and worn, any hand made item will not be 100% perfect. That is the unique Beauty to our products. Each one is hand crafted & made to the best of our ability. These books are born, if you will. However, in rare cases they can be "born" with a handicap, this may be a feature you love or not. If it is not, our books come with a unique one-of-a-kind warranty. Since we do not offer cash returns on books, we will repair any book under the warranty guidelines, for free. After all, you have to be happy with your book for you & for your future generations. If you are looking for a brand new looking book, please do not order one of ours as they are, as mentioned, designed to look like an old hand made tome that has been around forever and may not be what you desire if you are looking for a fresh new type of book. Again if you are at all unsure, simply ask us any question and we will be more than happy to help in anyway we can.

 

Q. What happens after the warranty is expired?

A. Once you purchase a book from us, you are part of our Witches Moon family. Please refer to your warranty information. It states our after warranty repair fees. Please email us with any questions or concerns you may have & we will help as best as we can.

 

Q. What if I do not like it when I get it as I thought I would, can I return it for another design?

A. Of course you can! We want you to be happy!! We do not offer refunds as these are Custom Made Books, but we will offer an exchange of equal value or a credit towards any other book you may like. Email us with your exchange/credit request, return the unwanted book, & detail to us your request. It is that simple!! The only time a book can not be returned for an exchange or credit is when it is purchased from our Discount Book area.

 

Q. Can there be any other delays?

A. Yes. The marbled paper, leather and parchments all come from our suppliers which we have hand picked. Since most are hand made by the artisan they can also experience a delay. If they are delayed, we can get delayed. We do our best to order early and have what we need when we need it. this is not, however, always possible and in some cases may cause further delays to your order. We sometimes will require time off & sick days & so on... Since we are a small company,, we will post all other delays on the site's homepage & contact page. It is just not feasible for us to email everyone to let them know, but we will post this info on our Home page. Please understand that our products are freshly made if you will, not lying around for weeks waiting to ship. This keeps the energy good and does not allow the book to absorb any6thing negative.

 

 Q. What if I email & I do not hear back in 24 hours?

A. Our policy is a response within 24 to 48 hours. On rare occasions we are not able to respond to emails as fast as we would like. This may simply mean we are working on books & have not been able to check our email. Though we do not like this to occur too often, we do our best to check email everyday sometimes twice a day. Please remember, we are a small company with many many orders to fill so we truly do our very best to get back with you as soon as possible.

 

 

Q. I live overseas, can this take a longer shipping time?

A. Yes, in fact frequently. Especially since 9/11 there have been longer Customs delays. Since we are not familiar with your countries requirements, we would need that info from you - the customer. Sometimes, for instance, customs can send a book back to us for something as small as the wrong spelling of a name, to writing on the box that does not pertain to the item inside. If for some reason this should happen to you, we will do our very best to help you in locating the item. All of our books are shipped with full insurance. If you request a lesser insurance option, we can not be held liable for any issues that may arise. Shipping most often goes off without a hitch, but there can be unforeseen problems that can come up. Contact us & we will assist with this in anyway we can.
