Just wanted to say I purchased a bos from New England Magick today and I already told Joanna but I wanted to tell you, I just love it!!! I saw it in the window and had to have it!!!
I am very pleased and will be getting the smaller one that they have as well.

So I saw the mailman today and basically chased him down, i think he already knows or at least thinks I am crazy but he knows it for sure now!
I could hardly contain myself on the way up my driveway. I must admit after being burned by the other company i was not sure i wanted to do this again. I felt good with our conversation
so I figured i would take a chance, i am not patient as you could tell, but I am glad you never lost patience with me even when I was less then nice (which I am so sorry, that was not very good witchy behavior!) I am glad i did it! I love love it and will use it forever and i am sure I will be back for more!!

Dear Stephen and Heather: Today My bos came and it is without a doubt breathtaking. It is everything I could have ever asked for in a book of shadows
the only way it could be better is if I had gotten two! In looking at this work of art I must say, I understand not what all the fuss is about with your "Haters"
these books are so amazing so "witchful" that you would have to be either a large child or Drama queen to create such hassle over a Pagan item. I too had some issue with delay in contact but I actually read your site and understood, (even though I did get mouthy once) I really do feel the wait is well worth it and to be expected for such a rare item. I have seen other books, some good some terrible but these feel so natural, so alive, why would anyone want to stress the maker? I am at a loss as a Pagan for my long 45 years I would rather burn at the stake then be caught being so rude and negative towards a company that clearly puts it's heart into their work. I hope my kind words help you please feel free to post wherever you see fit. I myself, will be back for many more I am sure... All my blessings to you and yours...Namaste

Wow ok I waited a year!!! I cried, I freaked I love it!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad it is finally here and I can touch it! I smell it everyday. Odd I know, but it smells amazing. I received my book today and I have to say that it was definitely worth the wait! I have never seen such a wonderful book; it is phenomenal. I never expected it to look so amazing. It’s just so beautiful. When I opened the box and saw it, I almost cried J ..but in a good way! You can feel the energy the book releases just by looking at it or holding it. It even smelled wonderful! I can’t believe how extraordinary it is. I just can’t put it down.

Over the past few years I have looked everywhere for a Book of Shadows and I just couldn’t find anything that felt right, until now. Dear Heather and Stephen,

Today I was blessed with an amazing gift.

In the earliest week of February, I ordered my BOS and almost 7 whole months later, I am finally it's proud owner. After spending MONTHS pulling my hair out wondering when it'd come, it finally did and I could tell exactly why it took as long as it did.

It is evident that your books are made with such time, love, and care, which is seen simply through the craftsman ship of these books.

To all potential customers, let me describe to you the feeling I had as I unwrapped this book.

Holding the package, knowing exactly what was inside, I would say that there was almost an energy I could feel emanating from it. As I opened the package, I was left with the book wrapped heavily in paper. As I unfolded it, I just knew that I was going to fall in love. And there it was. I could only describe it as being introduced to a child you never knew you had; a bundle of knowledge that was clearly an extension of you in every way, shape and form. An embodiment of who you were. Classy, Elegant, and of course, truly magical. This is all suggestive and figurative of course but it's the best way I can describe it.

This book will remain with me for what I believe to be decades and will undoubtedly pass it on to my children.

While I found the wait unbearable, it was completely worth it in the end.

I am totally happy with this book and have the strongest feeling I'll be back for more in the not so distant future...even if that means waiting for 7 months.

So once again, to Heather and Stephen, I thank you, and wish you every blessing you could pray for...even if that is as simple as another set of hands to craft these works of art quicker.

All I can say is wow, When I FIRST GOT MY BOOK I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT I OWNED IT!!! when I saw them online i knew they were fantastic, but i just figured it would look different.

Ok I have to say OH MY GOSH................ Or rather OH MY GODDESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It came and i can not believe i own such an amazing book. I always dreamed of this old book that I would find in some old Antique store, well i got the book but I did not need to go to some old Antique shop to find it! I am so amazed by your work and time involved in the book, it was so worth the wait. This book has taught me patience and that quality takes time, I am most impressed with the color and detail of the book, i know i was on the edge about color and leaving it up to you was the right thing to do as it came out wonderful. I got my book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is I am in love... My BOS arrived in time for Samhain ( thank you) I just feel the magic coming from it. It smells so good and feels so right! It is what I dreamt of and more.
It seems so old and i am more than pleased with the closure. I do not know how you do it but this book beats anything i have found, and believe me i have seen them all! Others just do not have the same feeling, nice as they may be. I feel like i have come home to Witches Moon!!

I just wanted to write you and tell you how marvelous my book is. I received it a couple of days ago and it was like welcoming an old friend. It's so beautiful I can't stop holding it and simply enjoying the rich colors, textures and the sweet smell of it. Even my cat , Nikodemus, who partakes in all of my rituals seemed unusually fond of it. The first night I fell asleep with it next to me on my bed and awoke to my cat laying curled up on top of it. He has sense stayed near it when I have it out. I can both see and feel the wonderful energy you used to create such a wonderful piece that I will cherish forever. I really feel as though it has a spirit of it's own that has pulled me to it and become a wonderful friend. Thank you so much for getting it to me before my move came up. Thing is I am so impatient and I hate to think of waiting for my book to look old. I bought from you because i wanted an old book. I am emailing you about the custom Book of Shadows that I purchased from you as a gift for my wife. I ordered it for her in August and it arrived just after her birthday a few weeks ago, which fell exactly into the estimated delivery time. I just wanted to extend how happy she (and I) is with the book a quality of the product. I am a sword and knife-smith and have an appreciation for the effort it takes when working with organic materials (leather, etc) and was impress with the consistency of the covering and binding. I'm sure my wife will enjoy this piece for many years.

I've included a pic of the Athame I made for her as gift last year, so the book is a fitting companion.

Stephen & Heather,

My BOS arrived Wednesday, I didn't get home till late and I was so tired I decided to put the box in a special place and wait to open it Thursday morning.
I awoke yesterday around 4:30 a.m., like an exited child at Christmas, but made myself gain my bearings, take care of the puppies & get a bath before I opened the box.
I opened the box at dawn. When I got the box open and the wrapping off the book, I was so thrilled. It emits such fabulous energy and is so beautiful to behold.
It seems to breathe life when I hold it. It hums to me. The Oxblood leather is not as dark as I thought it might be, but I'm happy for it - for it is the most luxurious deep color!
It has the richness of a red-velvet cake... The leather is so soft and supple - I'm trying to find the right words to describe, but I can't quite get it.
Calling it a book even does it injustice - it is a work of art! Truly a piece to be passed down to generations to come!
Thank you so very much! It is everything I had hoped for and more. I'm seriously considering ordering another of a different style to help me organize my work even better.

Well, on May 25th my mother passed from cancer and June 2nd was my 49th birthday. My books were here right around that time and I couldn't believe the beauty and craftsmanship. My mother was the reason I started on this path at 30 because she shared a story with me about her mother being full blood Irish and reading tarot when she was alive. What a great day!! I stopped by my mom's to take her out shopping this morning and upon our return we found the book on her front porch!!

This book is my Christmas present, but my mother insisted I take a look.

Well, I opened it and I cried. I cried because it is so beautiful and I just couldn't believe I finally had this treasure. It was 100 times more beautiful than I expected!!!

I can't wait to use it and when I am old and gray...I will hand it down and leave this world with my beliefs. Oh, what joy!!

Now, the unfortunate thing is that my sweet mother made me put it back in the box and I have to wait for Christmas Eve!!

Hi, Heather! You have no idea how happy you made us today! We sat there forever, looking at the books and paging through them, over and over. There are no words to tell you how we feel! Thank you SO MUCH for my new book! It's beautiful, I absolutely love it! I've decided to use it for all my witchy recipes and keep it in the kitchen so it will be right there when I need it. Anna is so thrilled with her book - she was back in the paper bag and I had to turn the ceiling fan on! She made me unwrap it and I held it so she could see everything when I opened it. She was beside herself. Then I held it out to her and I said, 'Here's your book. Now you're whole.' She took it from me and did the same thing I did - she hugged it! We said everything we could to try to express how we felt, but one thing she said, I have to pass on. She said, 'I hope she realizes how wonderful she is.' Maybe you do, but we know we can't put into words how happy you've made us and how much we appreciate you! Thank you so much, is all I can say. We're taking all our books to the sabbat ritual on Sunday and our stack of cards, but we're reserving some for Salem! It was so good to talk to you today, we both love you to death!

Helen here, well what can i say?
Shaun completely surprised me when he gave me a large box on my
birthday, i was totally
blown away when i saw the contents. After i had finished crying, kissing
and hugging him, i finally started to go through the book.
WOW, Shaun then told me all about you and how you make the books, i did
not need to be told how much time and effort you had spent on it, the
book speaks for itself. All i can say is you must have a lot of patience
and be very gifted to be able to do them so brilliantly.
I am looking at it now and it still takes my breath away. My son(12years
old) thinks it is fantastic it is all the talk amongst his friends.

I received the book today - IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! It was just what I had invisioned. The paper went so well with the book...even though it took forever to come here since it was backordered. The richness of the colors and the softness of the leathers just make this book a work of art. The parchments isn't too overdone on the aging - nothing is too harsh. You did a wonderful job...it was well worth the wait! I hope I didn't harass you too much with all my emails! It was a pleasure working with you on this creation! And if you are willing...in the near future I will be needing a smaller book done in black - not sure about the design yet. Thanks again for a job well done!!! I will be telling everyone and showing off your wonderful work!
