Besoms & Staffs

A witches Besom Is strictly for sweeping energy & clearing the Circle area. It is not intended to be used as a household broom. You sweep to remove all negative energies within the place of magick. It is a sacred tool of the Craft & can be one of the most important ones as well. All of our Besoms are hand crafted so each one will be unique. Hopefully you will find your Besom & or Staff here.

We have a unique treat. Below are some Besoms and Altar Besoms. which are either made by us or other artisans. The description will tell you if it is ours or not. If we have made them, they are made from fallen branches at the Old Burying point in Salem Mass, our own back yard and gather while on hikes in nature.

(If the Besom is made by us and is from Salem, the fallen branches have been collected from the oak tree located within the old burying point. These usually get thrown away so we like to use them to offer a piece of Salem to those who may not be able to get there. If the besom is from Salem, it will be noted in the description of each Besom).

We have No Salem Besoms at this time.

All of these besoms are hand made by the hands of other artisans. All of them are crafted by those
Manufacturers which sanctify fair trade and do not participate in child or slave labor.
They are not made in China.

Cedar Handled Besom

Handcrafted besom lovingly made with materials from nature. Use to sweep away negativity and hang for protection in your home or sacred space. Made from broom corn, grown specifically for constructing besoms. Handles are made from unvarnished cedar wood, with a cord threaded through the end for hanging, most have a spiral handle. Please allow for variations; each one is unique. Sizes are approximately 40" - 46" long.

Small Bristle Ritual Besom

These small ritual besoms are 30 inches and comes in purple The besom is a tool for ritual and magick, generally used to purify a space before ritual begins. Before a ritual is performed the practitioner may use a besom to create a sacred space, by sweeping the area while visualizing the psychic dirt (negative energy) being cleared away. This ancient custom also helps to get the mind ready for the ritual, quieting the mind and narrowing one's focus. The besom is a purifier and is viewed by some to be related to the element of water. The besom is also seen as a symbol of protection. Many witches keep a besom by their door, or hanging from their door, to protect the home from unwanted outside energies. In keeping with this ancient tradition, this handcrafted besom is made from materials from nature, and the handles are made from tree branches.

Made from broom corn, grown specifically for constructing besoms. Handles are made from pine wood and varnished for protection, with a leather thong threaded through the end for hanging. A hand-crafted besom altar broom; lovingly made with materials from nature for all your ritual needs. Use this broom to sweep away negativity, then hang it up for protection in your home or sacred space. Made from broom corn, grown specifically for constructing besoms, the handles are made of unvarnished pine wood with a cord threaded through the end for ease of hanging. Please allow for variations, as each one of these fabulous altar brooms are unique. These altar brooms measure approximately 21" in length
